‘Into The Arms Of Stillness’ explores the introspective nature of winter. A brisk evening walk becomes a moment of quiet reflection, as the cold reminds us of our own vulnerability. Lost ribbons floating amidst frosted grass or flowers exhaling the final sigh of autumn, emphasise our acute awareness of time. Our daily rituals also take on a sacred quality. Plants and plans pause in their growth, and ordinary objects used to create structure gain deeper significance. We create fortress-like homes, locking out the invading chill. Winter begets reflection, melancholy, and the capacity to linger, all in the crisp stillness of a turning world.
